PRP+ pays a local visit to London

Gathering in a meeting room in North London, PRP held four back-to-back PRP+ courses. This year, we decided to take the actors away from the metropolis and submerge them in the greenery of a local Hockey Club. Comfortably seated in the conference room, our morning sessions began with the meeting and learning of new role players. Before inviting these new actors, we used our database as a recruitment platform and those selected participated in a telephone interview to discuss their online applications. Further to this, we invited those who we thought suitable to attend the training sessions.

The PRP+ Induction course aims to introduce new actors to our company and to the processes of role play. Phill Doulton led the course with his unique flair and zest for what the company does and achieves. 100% of trainees strongly agreed that Phill's knowledge was outstanding. After a tea and coffee break, the actors put their role playing skills to the test by simulating scenarios in pairs. Overall 100% of delegates agreed that the session was good. Some commented by saying,

'Most detailed course I've done, normally I'm just thrown in [to the job]!'

'It was extremely helpful to have so much of the process explored and discussed. I am clear about what is required and how I can fit into the organisation. I am also confident in the quality of the service provided by PRP.'

After a short lunch break, we moved onto the PRP+ Standardisation courses. These training sessions are specifically designed for our experienced role players and ensures the understanding of standardisation and more importantly, how to achieve it. Over twenty years, PRP has perfected the use of standardisation in medical examinations and assessment centres and we extend this knowledge to our specialised team of role players. 100% of of those who attended the course said they strongly agreed that they would be able to apply their learnt knowledge to their work with PRP and 100% concurred that the overall cours was excellent. Some of the feedback we received included,

'It was very useful to hear other role player's thoughts, opinions and experiences. All of what was discussed will be valuable knowledge for future role plays.'

'Very good to re-visit the mechanisms of role play. Good to specify various elements of it and discuss current and past experiences.'

'Always a good thing to re-evaluate what you know and to learn new methods. More please!'

Meeting actors from two different sides of the spectrum in a single day was very rewarding. We were excited to introduce new role players to our team as well as consolidating old friendships with those who have worked with us for many years.  We look forward to the next PRP+ session.
