Behind the scenes: training videos for standardisation

Last month, we had the pleasure of working on an exciting new project with the Royal College of Psychiatrists and Mediacrews as we created a number of in-house training videos.

After arriving at the Heavy Entertainment Studios, Wardour Street, London, role players and examiners were briefed before being miked up and seated for their seven minute interview. With cameras and sound all ready, we viewed the role play on monitors in a separate studio.

Standardisation is integral to any examination setting. By using videos like these, we aim to eradicate anomalies and create consistent performances. The role players were highly professional and convincing when simulating various scenarios and were challenged by the examiners who pitched their performances at different levels each time.

A week later, we headed to Trinity Buoy Wharf where we helped edit some of the footage with David Gridley. We tried not to get too distracted by the incredible view of the O2 which sat just across the river.

We want to say a massive thanks to organiser Juliet, all at Mediacrews for their footage and shots of the day and of course, our wonderful role players. Catch Media Crews behind the scene production of the filming days below. We look forward to the next one!
