My experience at PRP

When you tell people you are going into Project Management, you are often met with responses such as, “What do Project Managers even do?” And truthfully, I wasn’t sure how to answer, as I hadn’t worked for this type of specialised company before.

What I found in my first month at PRP, was a supportive atmosphere and a lot of learning. I have had the chance to speak to all sorts of people over the phone, many of whom are our super friendly role players, who I hope to meet soon in person. I have learnt about the medical industry, the corporate sector, and have even been given the opportunity to write some articles! (Like this one- it’s good, right?)

My BSc in Psychology meant that I was drawn to the company due to its involvement in Psychiatry, as well as the fact that they are doing something meaningful on a large scale. I have been shadowing our Operations Manager, communicating with role players and staff, learning how to use our database system, and secretively Googling unpronounceable medical terms.

I am looking forward to getting to know our role players and clients even better, getting a good grip of our database, and learning how to read my own handwriting on sticky notes!
