After Action Reviews

“Excellence as a habit.”

This is a training day with a difference. Experience the value of After Action Reviews and take part in a unique, valuable and unforgettable learning experience. This will be an opportunity to learn, share, reflect and make changes within the organisation. An AAR offers insight into the strengths and weaknesses of every day events.

Four questions are considered:

  1. What was expected?
  2. What actually happened?
  3. Why was there a difference?
  4. What can be learned?

The implementation of AAR’s in any organisation can highlight that anything can be improved and behaviours altered. It enables the individuals involved, irrespective of job status, to have an impact on implementing change. The AAR is designed not to blame but to share ownership, listen, consider, learn and influence change. All participants are given detailed feedback on their performance and receive support in developing their leadership and communication skills.

"AAR has the potential to change organisational culture and behaviour it will not come through centralised control or burdensome policy. But by an insight, a eureka moment, the light goes on and new behaviours can be seen and understood. The organisation improves by the changes in the behaviours and understanding of its most valuable asset- people.”
