Professional role Players has adopted a vigorous four staged recruitment process for new role players, to maintain our high professional standards.
The stages are as follows:
- 1. Post or upload your role play C.V. and head shot, with a covering letter. In the covering letter, you should include a contact number, e-mail address, where you are based, playing age, your location and how you heard about PrP.
- 2. Successful applicants will be invited for an interview.
- 3. Interview with the Director
- 4. If successful in your interview you will be invited to our training course.
Our Training Course is designed to:
- Inform role players of their role in teaching and developing professionals
- It highlights the requirements of becoming a competent role player
- Recognising the advantages of using non verbal skills
- It teaches the differences between role play and acting
- It develops important feedback skills that will be honest, productive and informative for any trainee
- Standardisation
- What are the different styles of questioning- when are they appropriate?
- What is the value of empathy?
- Developing the recipient
- Handling assessments
This programme informs participants of the teaching and development of role play and is used as an assessment procedure for ourselves and aimed at maintaining our high professional standards. Attendees are then assessed and those who are successful become the new faces of PrP.
Even after this training course, all of our role players are monitored closely in order to uphold our high standards.
